Freelancer Screening Questionnaire

Thanks for your interest in working with us. We build and maintain client projects where code quality, reliability, and process discipline matter more than speed.

Before we start any collaboration, please complete this questionnaire. It is designed to verify that you can:

  • deliver clean, maintainable, production-ready code
  • follow strict engineering standards (reviews, CI checks, documentation)
  • communicate clearly and consistently
  • work confidently in Laravel and WordPress (custom code + theme development)

Important: This is a screening step. Submissions that ignore requirements (e.g., missing CI compliance, poor code samples, or unclear answers) will be rejected.

Code Comments & Language(erforderlich)
Code must be clearly structured and commented where it adds value. All comments must be in English. Variable and function names must be meaningful and follow a consistent naming convention.
Code Quality & Automated Review(erforderlich)
All code must pass automated checks (e.g., GitHub Actions). A task is only considered done when:
• CI checks are green
• code is review-ready
• implementation matches the task requirements
Task Management (ActiveCollab)(erforderlich)
You are required to use ActiveCollab daily to:
• review assigned tasks
• log your working time accurately
• post progress updates and questions inside the relevant task

Info: Task descriptions and internal comments are often written in German because other team members and clients communicate in German. You must be able to understand the briefings (translate if needed) and act accordingly.
Deadline Compliance(erforderlich)
All due dates set in ActiveCollab are binding and must be met. If you foresee a risk, you must communicate it early and propose options.
Daily Communication(erforderlich)
Daily short check-ins (e.g., Microsoft Teams) are expected. If a meeting is not possible, you must provide a concise written daily summary (what you completed, what’s blocked, what’s next).
GDPR Compliance(erforderlich)
All work must comply with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and applicable EU data protection standards.
NDA & Confidentiality(erforderlich)
You must be willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and handle all credentials, access data, and project information confidentially.
Monthly Invoicing(erforderlich)
You must issue a proper monthly invoice including all legally required information so it can be submitted to German tax authorities.
Write a function that:
• receives a list/array of numbers
• filters all even numbers
• sorts them in ascending order
• returns both the sorted even numbers and their total sum
GitHub / Professional Profiles(erforderlich)
Provide links to your GitHub profile and/or other relevant professional profiles (e.g., GitLab, Bitbucket, LinkedIn).
